AGLMI — Advocates for Growth Leadership and Meaningful Independence

About AGLMI

A sisterhood for healing, leadership, and meaningful independence.

Founded in Atlanta in 2024, AGLMI exists to walk the long road of recovery with women affected by domestic violence — long after the crisis ends.

Our Story

Born from the moment after the crisis.

Survivors know it well: the moment the headlines fade, the hotline call ends, and the rebuilding begins. AGLMI was founded to fill that gap with steady, practical, and dignified care.

Our work is shaped by survivors and built on the belief that healing requires more than safety — it requires resources, community, and time. We provide all three.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, we serve women across Georgia with referrals nationwide.

Mission

Empower survivors with the tools, community, and care to rebuild lives on their terms.

Vision

A world where every survivor has the freedom to choose her own future — fully and meaningfully.

Values

Survivor-led. Trauma-informed. Confidential. Faith-rooted. Community-powered.
